Informed Consent Policy
All research participants have a fundamental right to privacy, which must not be infringed without prior informed consent. Identifiable information—such as names, initials, hospital numbers, photographs, or pedigrees—must not be included in manuscripts unless it is scientifically essential and the participant (or their parent/guardian) has provided explicit written consent for publication.
Authors must inform participants that any potentially identifiable material may be accessible both in print and online following publication. Any nonessential identifying details must be removed to protect participant confidentiality.
To safeguard patient privacy, Bulletin of Education and Language requires authors to retain and archive the written informed consent and to include a formal statement in the manuscript confirming that informed consent has been obtained and securely archived. When applicable, confirmation of informed consent should be clearly stated in the published article.
